Student Board 2013

President (Executive Council)

Hi my name is Laura Ticho and I am a sophomore majoring in Biology at the U of O! I am originally from Chicago and my hobbies include rock climbing, travelling, hiking, eating, and of course, hanging out at Hillel! I want to engage new students by providing programs that appeal to all interests.  I feel very connected to and passionate about the Jewish community at the U of O and I believe that there is so much potential for Hillel. I am so excited to be the Hillel student board president and look forward to all the exciting programs we have planned for the next 4 terms! Are you a prospective student? Email me at lticho@uoregon.edu!

Vice President of Programming (Executive Council)

Hey! My Name is Noa Drori and I am a junior at the University of Oregon and am majoring in Business Marketing. I was born and raised in Israel and moved to the United States when I was 14 years old, making Los Angeles, California my new home. I love making art, cooking, hiking, and hanging out with friends and family. The Jewish community is a huge part of my life, and I have been greatly involved with the Israeli scouts. I am very excited to be a part of the Oregon Hillel student board as the Vice President of Programming and am looking forward to a great year. If you are a prospective student and would like to get involved, meet new people or have any questions, please feel free to contact me at noad@uoregon.edu.

Vice President of Engagement (Executive Council)

Hi! My name is Liana Lis. I am a freshman from Los Angeles, CA. I'm not sure what I am studying yet but I'm exploring digital arts, family and human services, cinema studies, and business. My passion for Judaism has been cultivated by attending a Jewish High school and a Jewish camp, JCA, since I was very young. As Engagement Vice President, I am looking forward to meeting so many new Jewish students and bringing Hillel to more people. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at llis@uoregon.edu.

Vice President of Publicity

Hey! My name is Terra Zicklin and I'm a freshman from Los Angeles, California. I want to become a communications or public relations major. I love meeting new people, taking pictures, and having a good time. I've been very involved in the Jewish Community through Camp Alonim, Temple Judea, and now Oregon Hillel. I want to make Hillel a welcoming place for everyone, where students can feel comfortable creating new experiences and memories. If you want to write a newsletter, take pictures at events, or if you have any questions, please email me at zicklin@uoregon.edu.

Secretary

Hi! My name is Lauren Cleaner and I am a freshman at the University of Oregon from Colfax, California. My plans are to obtain a degree in business, specifically marketing and a minor in Italian. I am very passionate about our Jewish community at UO because of my previous involvement in my temple youth group. During the summer of 2010, I was fortunate to travel to Eastern Europe and Israel for six weeks with forty other Jewish high school students from around the United States. It was a trip of a lifetime and I cherish the memories and friends I made that summer. I am so glad that I am on Hillel Student Board and I cannot wait for this coming up year. If you have any questions regarding Hillel, please feel free to e-mail me at lcleaner@uoregon.edu
