Travel With Hillel

Birthright
Each year, Oregon Hillel takes a group of students on a FREE ten-day trip to Israel with their peers. You are eligible for this opportunity as long as you have never been to Israel on a peer-led trip. This trip promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience and space is limited! This trip is a gift from Taglit-Birthright Israel and covers round-trip airfare plus ten days of educational programming in Israel! Any Jewish youth, 18-26 (post high-school), who has never been to Israel on a peer-group program is eligible to apply.
Questions? Not eligible for Birthright but still want to go Israel? We can help you find and/or fund other trips! Contact Andy at Andy@oregonhillel.org.
Alternative Spring Break
Oregon Hillel offers a variety of alternative break options for students during their spring break. These kinds of trips offer students the opportunity to spend their vacations providing service to people in need around the world. Alternative breaks take groups of students out of their everyday surroundings and place them in new environments to engage in community service and experiential learning. As part of short-term service projects, participants are challenged to see and understand difficult social issues such as poverty, literacy, and natural disasters and to explore questions of Judaism and social responsibility.
